From there\, we’ll explore movement material inspired by K-pop\, focusing on short choreographic sequences based on hand gestures. DESCRIPTION:Two performances – REVolutions Dance: The shape of time and Ihanat Company :2×2 \nThe Shape of Time (8min) \nDancers: Sam Kedziora & Dwayne Scheuneman Choreographer: Frank Chaves Music: Mark Danziger & Aaron Wunsch  \n“The Shape of Time” was originally created from the long friendship of a disabled military veteran and a mother of two\, both returning to the dance world after stepping away for some years to tend to life’s other demands. It follows a journey of trust\, friendship\, and the collaboration of two people who use dance to encourage us all to accept and love one another. \nIn this performance\, the role of the mother dancer is performed by another artist\, honoring the original collaboration while acknowledging the reality that many mothers face—the difficulty of traveling long distances and being away from their children. \nIhanat Company: 2 x 2 (45-60min) \nWorking group: Sofia Johansson\, liris Laisi\, Elisa Lejeune\, Vappu Virkkula\, Riina Hannuksela\, Aarne Rikonen\, Riitta Röpelinen\, Virva Talonen\, Ina Niemelä Goofing around. \nA skull. It felt cute. 1 looked like a princess. A bit awkward. When we danced\, I braided your hair. This turned into a black wolf character. Zombie\, an evil dance. I could write a new story. When the fish watch. I liked everything. I am tired. Embarrassing. A cosy sleeping nest. The dance performance “2 x 2” by the Ihanat Company is built around two duets\, each inspired by encountering the other dancer through movement. In the choreographic process\, the experience of dancing together has been explored through a variation of mirror exercises\, touch\, and working with various fabric materials. The long-term process has given rise to two unique\, improvisation-based duets that\, in “2 × 2\, are layered side by side\, intertwined\, and overlapping.
