Torotörö is a doubly melty sensation on the tongue. A liquid language that seeps across skins, and oozes in the gaps— a playfield, on a syrupy scale between fish and bull.
It’s a bodily invitation to embrace the multiple in being human and wild through movement. Risk, delicacy and joy effervesce the physicalities between performers Kadar Khristan and Jussi Ulkuniemi in a dance of moods dissolving and surfacing.
The soundscape performed by Riku-Pekka Kellokoski accompanies the dancers as they surrender to the rapids of flowing worlds. Iiris Herttua’ s costume design stretches the performance into material, and Outi Vedenpää’s delicate lighting installation breathes still time into the pulse of the performance.
