Panel Discussion: Building a Nordic Network for Inclusive Dance

This panel introduces a new initiative to develop a collaborative network among inclusive dance organizations in Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark. While each country has made significant strides in advancing inclusive dance education and artistry, much of this work has occurred in isolation. Through this partnership, we aim to share knowledge, resources, and best practices to address shared challenges and build a more connected, sustainable, and accessible dance field across the Nordic region.

Panelists will discuss how this collaboration fosters long-term support structures, strengthens artistic exchange, and amplifies the cultural impact of inclusive dance. The session will explore practical strategies for advancing inclusive dance education, creating unified frameworks, and modeling international collaboration in a field often marked by fragmentation. This project seeks not only to deepen regional ties but also to offer a replicable model of inclusive, cross-border cooperation for the global dance and disability community.
