Description

K-POW-orkshop will be an opening of the process of creating a solo performance by Sissel with Paulina as choreographic assistant. Together, they will facilitate a workshop offering young participants and families insight into the methods and motifs shaping the solo.

We will begin with a gentle warm-up to attune to our bodies and each other. From there, we’ll explore movement material inspired by K-pop, focusing on short choreographic sequences based on hand gestures. Using this material as a starting point, we will experiment with choreographic tools such as interviewing one another, adding textures, and shifting spatial configurations.
