At a time when the arts are under threat and support for inclusive practice is being dismantled, X Dance Festival 2025 gathers to hold the line—and push it forward. This year’s theme calls for bold, collective movement. It is a declaration that inclusive dance will not be slowed, or erased.
Taking place in Helsinki, XDF 2025 is an international meeting place of disabled and non-disabled artists, educators, and allies who are shaping the future of dance through interdependence, and imagination. This is not just a festival—it’s a movement.
Together, we will share work, deepen relationships, and imagine new ways of being and creating in a world that too often overlooks us. Through powerful performances, immersive workshops, and urgent conversations, we will ask:
How do we sustain ourselves and each other when the systems around us fail to?
What does resistance look like in motion?
Join us in building a community that insists on access, uplifts difference, and moves with purpose.
XDF is organized by Kaaos Company, committed to cultivating accessibility, equity, and joy in dance—now and always.
